Meet Amanda
If BrainPOP created a video about Amanda, these would be the highlights:
Even as a child, Amanda’s spirit burned bright. She was curious and determined and a natural born leader. This made Amanda who she is, which led to all she accomplished.
As a young teen, Amanda began volunteering at an elementary school as a reading tutor for English Language Learners. This is when she first fell in love with teaching.
With the combination of strong relationships, innovative teaching practices, and student-centered design, Amanda reached great heights with her students, consistently outperforming state and national averages. Her supervisors were always impressed.
Amanda also opened a home bakery, Butter and Blooms. She learned the ins and outs of small business from customer relations to social media marketing to website design, and created baked goods that were just as artistically beautiful as they were delicious. She even got to bake for major food magazine execs!
What Amanda really loved about her baking business was the community outreach. Most notably, she donated cakes and baked goods to help survivors of human trafficking celebrate milestones throughout their rehabilitation through a partnership with local non-profit.
Fast-forward to 2022. Amanda wasn’t feeling challenged at work anymore, so she made a big change! She decided it was time to leave the classroom to pursue marketing.
Just crystal-balling here: Amanda used her combined skills of pedagogy expertise, design-thinking, behavioral psychology background, and empathy to create a successful marketing career. She was a valuable asset that provided clear insight and materials that connected with her audience. Everyone wanted to work with her because she was so talented ;)
