Designing Systems That Support Educators

I helped design and organize educator-facing digital systems that supported statewide initiatives, professional learning, implementation, and instructional guidance for the Louisiana Department of Education.

My work focused on creating systems and resources that were intuitive, accessible, and genuinely useful to the educators and leaders navigating them. From platform organization and implementation support to onboarding materials, tutorials, one-pagers, knowledge base articles, and walkthrough videos, I helped create systems that made complex information easier to access, understand, and use.

Professional Learning & Statewide Resource SystemS

One of the biggest challenges in large-scale educational initiatives is not just providing resources. It’s helping people successfully navigate and implement them.

Across multiple statewide projects, I helped create digital systems that centralized guidance, professional learning resources, implementation materials, and support documentation into clear, educator-friendly experiences.

These projects included:

  • the Louisiana Department of Education main platform

  • the Super Application & Funding Resource system

  • the Professional Learning Partner Guide

  • the Student Support Partner Guide

Rather than overwhelming users with disconnected documents and scattered information, the goal was to create systems that felt organized, approachable, and easy to navigate for busy educators and leaders.

The LDOE needed a custom platform to host all professional development. We supported them in the build and also in implementation as they rolled out the new system throughout the state.

Supporting Implementation Through Multimedia Resources

Clear communication and onboarding were just as important as the platforms themselves.

To support statewide implementation and long-term usability, I created educator-facing videos, implementation guides, one-pagers, tutorials, and knowledge base resources designed to help users confidently navigate the systems and find what they needed quickly.

This work focused heavily on:

  • reducing friction

  • simplifying workflows

  • supporting self-service troubleshooting

  • improving usability

  • helping educators successfully adopt new systems and processes

The goal was to anticipate common questions and pain points before they became barriers for users.
